The Ministry of Transport supports the activities of the minister in performing his authority to:

• execute the state policy and plan the strategy for developing and restructuring of the transport;
• implement the state investment policy in the field of transport;
• prepare projects of international contracts and agreements in the field of transport and ensure the implementation of international agreements and conventions in this area, to which Bulgaria is a contracting side;
• organize and conduct the preparation of the transport for working in state of crises, for ensuring the transport of the country, of the military forces and the security organs, by their transformation from peace to the state of war;
• represent Bulgaria in the international organizations of transport;
• distribute and control the consumption of financial means, allocated for transport from the state budget;
• control the activities of recipients of licenses, permissions, and certificates, issued by the Minister, or by the Minister–authorized representative
  persons.
